National Mana AGM, Saturday 6 August 2011

Held in Te Atatu, West Auckland, this hui confirmed all of our political aspirations, introduced some premium candidates that are keen to stand for both general and Maori seats and allowed for a parallel rangatahi hui to take place to strategize on capturing our youth's vote.  


It was a priviledge to be surrounded by some of our more notable, inspirational and intelligent leaders from both Maoridom and  te ao Pakeha.  None more so than Annette Sykes, Hone Harawira, John Minto, Sue Bradford, Veronica Tawhai and our very own Angeline Greensill.  It was encouraging and pleasing to hear from representatives of the separate electorates updating us all on the progress made in their areas and the creative ideas flowing for campaigning the Mana kaupapa.  


Mana Ikaroa/Rawhiti are selling a bucket of mutton-birds at $20.00 p/ticket - you can go to the 'Te Mana o Kahungunu' facebook page if you're keen to buy one and leave a message.  This was an awesome hui that contained the energy and passion needed to get stuck into doing some real mahi back in Hauraki-Waikato.
